MY MESSAGE TO PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI ON THE VISIT OF MIYETTI ALLAH CATTLE BREEDERS OF NIGERIA.

Mr President, the miyetti Allah visited you on Saturday 19th May 2018 demanding you to intervene or stop the Anti-Open grazing prohibition law enacted by the Benue State government.

Mr President I want to use this medium to tell you without fear of anything that, you have no constitutional powers to stop any law which is duely passed under the law, step by step law which has been examined before passed.

In case Mr President if you don't know the meaning of this very law "Anti-Open grazing prohibition law " here is the simple meaning.

"This very law does not stop the Fulani's in doing there business, it does not intervene into there economic activities,but this law says, "You should not carry cattle along in order not to destroy farms lands, but you should ranch your cattles in one place if you want to engaged into cattle business ".

This is the simple meaning of this law.
Mr President, I want to tell you that, nobody in Benue State, not the governor nor the House of Assembly or the stake holders in the state has sent the Fulani's out of the state.

Mr President I want to categorically tell you that, you cannot tell the people of Benue State what Law that will be best for them and best for there good living.

Mr President, you are not the governor of Benue State, neither you are one of the stake holders in Benue State but you are only the President of Nigeria which Benue state is a state in Nigeria.

Mr President can somebody come to your house at Daura, Katsina State and tell you what and what should be done in your house?.

Mr President,will you go to America and make laws for them?.

Mr President, the law of Sharia as practiced by your people, who is against it?.

Mr President, I want to tell you that, what is suitable for Benue State is the "Anti-Open grazing prohibition law" which is best for Benue citizens.

Mr President, for example, you travelled to London for treatment or medical checkup, and the law is been enacted that, you must killed your child before you will be treated in the hospital what will you do?

I guess Mr President you will said "NO" I will rather go back to another country which don't have such law.

So Mr President, I want to tell you that, Benue state is not fenced if the law is not suitable for the Fulanis to carry out there cattle business, then they are free to move out of the state.

There is an adirge in Tiv Land that says, "Ka wea va hi mba ior vea tilen sha vea yaan kwaghyan yo, we kpa ka u zahemen utile sha u ya kwagh yan ave imongo "

So Mr President, you don't have the powers to stop or tell what is good for Benue State because:

1. Benue is not your state.

2. You are not the governor of Benue state.

3. You are not the law makers in Benue State.

4. You are not a member of the stakeholders in Benue State.

In conclusion Mr President, you have no right to stop the law in Benue State.
