Liberia to get new President today

A new Liberian President will be known today following Tuesday’s presidential runoff election.
The National Elections Commission (NEC) of Liberia set today’s date for the announcement of official provisional results.
The run-off was between former FIFA World Football of the Year Senator George Weah and Vice President Joseph Boakai. The winner will succeed outgoing President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.
Spokesman of the commission Henry Flomo who announced the date yesterday, said tallying of votes was ongoing at different centres across the country.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Liberians are eagerly awaiting announcement of the official results by NEC.
The NEC has warned parties and the media against declaring unofficial results.
Preliminary results trickling in from collation centres across the country through radio stations yesterday indicated that Weah was in early lead.
As of the time of filing this report at 7.30 p.m. Liberian time (1930 GMT), Weah was ahead in three counties (Bomi, Margibi and Grand Bassa) with over 50 per cent of the votes processed so far.
Reports from different parts of the country indicate that supporters of Weah were already celebrating his purported victory.
The ECOWAS Election Observation Mission to Liberia called on NEC to “work diligently and expedite action on the proclamation of results to avoid creating anxiety’’.
Head of the mission and former President of Ghana John Mahama made the call at a news conference in Monrovia last night.
He also urged the electoral umpire to conduct the concluding part of the process with “fairness, openness and transparency until the proclamation of results’’.
UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, has sent former President Olusegun Obasanjo to Liberia to support a peaceful transfer power to a democratically-elected president.
Guterres, who announced this yesterday in New York through his spokesperson Stephane Dujarric, also welcomed the peaceful conduct of the second round of the presidential election in Liberia.
“The Secretary-General hopes that the will of the Liberian electorate will be respected and that a seamless transfer of power will take place within constitutional timelines,” the statement said.
Guterres had requested Obasanjo, who is a member of the Secretary-General’s High-Level Advisory Board on Mediation, to travel to the capital Monrovia, from today till Saturday.
Obasanjo is one of 18 global leaders, senior officials and experts on the high-level board created earlier this year to advise the Secretary-General on mediation and back those efforts around the world.
The former President of Nigeria was involved in mediation efforts in Angola, Burundi, Mozambique, Namibia and South Africa, among others.

DPR, Oyo govt seal 10 filling stations in Ibadan

Not less than 10 filling stations were sealed off in different parts of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, following the enforcement by a combined team of the operatives of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and officials of the Oyo state government.
Seven were sealed off yesterday in addition to the three sealed off on Tuesday.
The filling stations sealed off were found guilty of hoarding and selling petrol above the approved pump price of N145.
The team also forced four filling stations that were hoarding fuel to dispense at the Federal government approved pump price to the relief of the people.
The government said it set up the special task force team to support the DPR officials to rid the state of the activities of economic saboteurs parading themselves as petroleum marketers.
The enforcement took place in Akobo, Ashi, Apata, Olorundaba, among other areas.
Some of the filling stations sealed include Kesbash Oil Nigeria Limited,
Swort Oil & Gas, Oduwoye Global Services Ltd, JOSFRAD International
Venture, Roylab International Venture and Baley Nigeria Limited
DPR Deputy Controller (Operations), Oyo State Sadiq Ibrahim who led the team told reporters that the essence of the monitoring was to check hoarding and price hike.
Ibrahim said: “Those filling stations caught hoarding the product will be charged for hoarding, while those who were selling above pump price will also be sanctioned. “This is because government has not increased pump price. What we have been able to do is to compel those hoarding to sell to the public at pump price and later seal them,’’ he said.
Special Adviser to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Community Relations Alhaji Abidemi Siyanbade said the team would continue with the enforcement until sanity returned.
Residents of the areas visited across the metropolis lauded the initiative, saying the efforts would go a long way in alleviating the hardship.
Mr Awoniyi Babatunde, a resident, said: “This is a great mess and we can’t continue like this. Our people cannot continue to blame the government on the issue but face the reality. Some marketers are just wicked. We are happy about the enforcement,’’ he said.

U.S. Tucano fighter jets coming to battle Boko Haram

The United States has reaffirmed her full support for Nigeria’s battle against Boko Haram with yesterday’s expression of commitment to sell A29 Super Tucano fighter jets to the Nigerian Air Force.
US Ambassador to Nigeria Stuart Symington yesterday presented Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) to Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar at the Air Force Headquarters in Abuja.
He spoke on the need for peaceful existence in Nigeria being strategic to the security of the West African Sub-Region.
NAF Director of Public Relations and Information Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya, said: “The United States (US) Ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington, today presented the Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) in respect of the A29 Super Tucano Aircraft to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
“The LOA represents the official U.S. Government offer to sell US Defence articles and services to the Nigerian Government.
“Ambassador Symington expressed the commitment of the US Government to helping Nigeria completely defeat the Boko Haram terrorists and also eliminate all forms of terrorism from its territory.
“In addition, he conveyed the US Government’s belief that the capacity of the NAF could greatly be enhanced by the acquisition of the SuperTucano Aircraft . According to him, the US Government would continue to support the NAF in its capacity-building efforts, including the timely supply of needed aircraft spares.
“The US Ambassador also indicated the readiness of relevant US Government officials to work with NAF officials to facilitate the early delivery of the aircraft once payment had been made. In that regard, officials of both the US Government and the NAF would be meeting in early January 2018 to jointly study the LOA prior to subsequent endorsements by both parties.
“The CAS, while receiving the LOA, expressed the appreciation to the US Government for its steady support towards sustaining NAF air operations. He also praised the personal commitment of the US Ambassador to ensuring that the Super Tucano Aircraft deal became a reality.
” Air Marshal Abubakar agreed with Ambassador Symington that the wellbeing of Nigeria was closely linked to those of other African countries, and indeed the entire world, as terrorism is a global phenomenon, which had to be confronted by all stakeholders.
” He reassured the US Ambassador of the commitment of the NAF to the stipulated deadlines in the LOA. Furthermore, the CAS assured the US Ambassador that the NAF would ensure the readiness of proposed home base of the Super Tucano Aircraft in Nigeria before the aircraft’s delivery.
“He further said that the NAF would nominate and prepare all the pilots and maintenance crew to be trained on the Super Tucano Aircraft, ahead of their training in the US.
“It is expected that the LOA would have been signed and necessary payments made before 20 February 2018 to ensure the commencement of production of the NAF’s Super Tucano Aircraft.
“The U.S. State Department had earlier approved the sale of 12 x A29 Super Tucano Aircraft to the NAF to further aid the nation’s counterinsurgency campaign”.

Abubakar Shekau Is Now Crippled – Ex-Boko Haram Intelligence Chief

A former Boko Haram Chief Intelligence Officer, Abdulkadir Abubakar, has revealed how the group’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, is now a cripple.
Abubakar did not, however, disclose how Shekau became a cripple.
The former Boko Haram CIO condemned the group’s killings and advised Shekau to surrender as their activities have no place in Islam.
Besides, he also warned Shekau to stop using innocent girls who are being hypnotised as human bombs.
Abubakar, also known as Abu Muhammad, also warned other factional leaders of the group, such as Mamman Nur, Abbor Mainok, Abu Musad Albarnawi and Abbah Minok to repent from their deadly ways and embrace peace.
Abubakar was the CIO of the terror group and one of its top commanders, until his arrest in June, this year, by the military, in Buni Yadi, in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The former commander, who spoke to PRNigeria in his cell in Maiduguri, Borno State, regretted that a lot of innocent young girls were captured, tortured, hypnotised and used by Shekau, in suicide bombing.
Shekau should remember that he was nobody but an ordinary student. He should remember that he had only two sets of clothes when we were in Maiduguri.
“I remember telling him: ‘Brother Shekau, why can’t you buy more clothes to wear? And he told me he was afraid of meeting God on the day of judgement.’
“He should look at himself and ask himself if he has achieved anything from the senseless cause. Despite all the looted wealth and power he has acquired, was he able to buy himself good health?
“He is now a cripple; isn’t that a lesson for him to learn and understand that God is punishing you for the pain you inflicted on others?
“I am calling on Abubakar Shekau, Mamman Nur, Abbor Minok and Abu Musad Albarnawi to lay down their arms and to stop the senseless killings.

DPR gives free petrol in Abuja

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) yesterday sealed a filling station in Kubwa, a suburb of Abuja, for allegedly selling petrol above N145 and gave out the product free to motorists.
The Abuja Zonal Operations Controller of the department, Mr Mohammed Abba, said the report about the station, Khalif Civic Oil and Investment Limited, was got from a tip-off.
Also on the team was Dr Maikanti Baru, the Group Managing Director of the NNPC and Mr Aminu Abdullahi, Assistant Commandant-General, Operations, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
”The station had 6,000 litres of petrol. We got the call from a good Samaritan. When we came, we realised the station is illegal because it is not licensesd and it was selling at N250 per litre.
”We instructed that the product should be dispensed free of charge.
”We will give them one month to come and regularise the licence, after that if he does not come we will hand over the station and the people concerned to the civil defence to prosecute,” Abba said.
Baru said ”this collaborative effort of the DPR, Civil Defence and NNPC is to identify stations that are erring in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive for us as agencies to fish out those perpetuating the fuel scarcity.
”This was discovered by the DPR on a tip-off. Government is appreciative and wants Nigerians to come forward with such information on where products are sold above N145”.
The fuel crisis started more than two weeks ago.

Marru

You Cannot Mary Now? 3
-I Didn't Stop Myself, I have Reasons To do!
Most people look at the outward apperance of their intending partners a lot, to take their decision whether to marry someone or not. Many has stopped their destiny for this. The heart of a man is hidden, and that is what we must get first. Outward apperance of a person is good, but you cannot judge completely anyone with that. The word of God says:
The LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel:16:7
That is why it is only God that can choose a right partner for us.
When it was time for me to settle down, I have a reasons too to stop my self. I was not working yet, and my hubby was a civil servant whose salary was just so little, not up to ten thousand naira. It was a time when the gorventment salary was so bad. I looked at his take home, I looked at what this young man has. He has just started working too. But I was not discouraged. I saw beyond all these, I saw a great man in him. I saw a great future ahead of us. Then he was working with a state institution as a lecturer. If I had based my decisions to go to the alter by his salary or possessions, I would have failed woefully. I would have missed destiny. But then, I had a great vision ahead of me to pursue. I was not moved by the physical. God helped us through the wedding programmes. It was a very beautiful and wondeful event. Many miracles of provisions was unfolded more. A friend took up decorations and the cake free. Many more that there is no time to share. But I want to share this amazing gift. The wedding took place in December, my hubby got a new job in January. A federal Goverment Job. Then it was multiples of his old pay. I could not imagine this kind of gift at that time. God tied that gift to our wedding. Things took a new shape just immediately after the wedding. God gave us a wedding gift of a new job. It was more than wonderful for me. If I had look down on this man of God, and stop myself, I would have missed destiny.
I don't know your own excuse or situations, but don't hold yourself down. There is no way a child of God won't be moved by faith and will expect a miracle. Our blessings are more than what a physical eyes can percieve. Some blessings will not come into our lives except we are married. God is the authour of homes. And he has great plans for godly homes. My home became enviable in the misdst of families and friends. God started promoting us from one level to another. You must start from that little place you are right now, and move. You must start seeing a great future ahead. You cannot have what you can't see.
What are your fears? Fear cripples a man to move into destiny. Don't stop yourseIf! See ahead the physical. Pray, plan, and move with God! Nothing can stop you if you detetmine not to stop yourself.

Sex nd marriage

ON FIRST TIME SEX, ORGASM, SEX POSITIONS AND SEXUAL PLEASURE
With more distressed, painful and confused calls on sex from just married virgins, I'm addressing this issue again.
Sexual pleasure is a reality. Orgasm can be a daily experience if you so wish. Romance in marriage can lead to a sexual encounter that makes you wish all we are born to do is have sex and go to heaven. But you won't experience anything called sexual pleasure if you are not married to your best friend.
Sex is more than "open your laps, let me go in and get out!" Sex is the sweet, affectionate, heart-to-heart conversation that has gone long ahead of the intercourse, the hugs, the pecks, the embrace, the kisses, the romantic words, the sweet promises. Intercourse is just to round off your expression of your love. That's by the way.
As you are preparing for wedding, prepare for sex as well. It's so shocking that almost all the couples who sought my counselling on sex had not read a single book on sex, how in the name of God do you want to enjoy what you don't know anything about? I'm recommending these books again, get them before you get married or your wedding night will be a very big disappointment.
1. THE ACT OF MARRIAGE by Tim Lahaye.
2. ANSWERS FOR YOUR MARRIAGE by Bruce and Carol Britten.
3. SEX IN MARRIAGE by Funmi Akingbade.
Not getting these books to read for any reason under heaven shows you are not serious!
70% of the sexual enjoyment for the woman lies on the man and most men don't ask for help till they find it difficult deflowering their weeping bride. Listen, if she doesn't enjoy sex it's your fault. It's easy for you to enjoy sex with almost zero encouragement, not so for her. You have lots of work to do to help her. This is where your true love, patience, sacrifice and self control is tested. Read the books, practice what you read especially THE ACT OF MARRIAGE by Tim Lahaye.
Talk about sex! How would anyone want to get married and not talk about your wedding night? That is the problem of marrying a stranger, someone you can not share your heart with. If you are marrying your best friend, that should be the easiest thing to do.
I remember boasting to hubby I was a lioness and would devour him in bed. I had read some hooks so I thought I knew more than him so I boasted a lot. I told him to get prepared for me. That we will do different styles from doggy to standing to sitting to missionary. It was on the wedding night that I discovered I scored A1 in theory but F9 in practical. I knew next to nothing. Hubby couldn't help shaking his head at his super boasting bride. We had to learn together from the scratch. He is the one "devouring" me now.
If you know talking about it will lead to sex then at worst, wait till a week to wedding. Make sure you trash things out sexually.
If you are afraid of penetration, let him know so both of you can read books and seek help together. If you don't know how to gently glide through her holy of holies, in the name of Jesus Christ I command thee, get a lubricant! Ask for K.Y Jelly from the pharmacy. Let your fingers create a map for you, you shall get there in Jesus' name. Can I get a big Amen!
Start with missionary but non-virgims may try other sex styles on the wedding night. The easiest one with minimal pain is the missionary for virgins. God is not against different sex styles please! No where is it written from Genesis to Revelation it must be man on top only. Do what gives you both pleasure, don't allow religion blind you puleeeeeaze! God is not going to vacate his throne because you try doggy or faint when she comes on top or rain fire on top of your head because you try sitting or reversed cowgirl. Just enjoy each other and derive maximum pleasure from each other's bodies.
NOTICE: SEX IS STRICTLY FOR THE MARRIED. If you make your private part cheaply available for him outside wedlock you have just shown baby that you lack home training, no morals, you are cheap, not a good wife material and a candidate of hell fire, so zip up!
If you carry your manhood up and down looking for a naive girl to dump your colossal problem on, you have created problems for your daughters to the fifth generation. Generational curses are on men who go about destroying innocent women. If you don't know before know it now before your children's children suffer for your carelessness!
A little word is enough for the wise. This post is for mature singles who understands Abstinence Till Marriage.

Again, Peter Okoye Speaks On P-Square Getting Back Together

Peter Okoye who now goes by the stage name Mr P in a new interview with Silvervlbird TV, shut down the hopes. According to him, P-Square returning to the stage as a duo is like chasing the winds and a no go area.

Peter further highlighted that he just had a successful solo tour in the U.S and ahead of his Europe tour beginning March 2018, he is set to put out more materials so his fans can hear something new and fresh following the release earlier of two singles ‘cool it down’ and ‘for my head’. Speaking on P Square comeback, he said;

I don’t think it is happening (on their reunion). Like I said ‘change is constant’. At the moment, we’re all doing our individual stuff. Music is what I do for a living; I’m an entertainer, a singer, a dancer, a performer and I want to keep it that way.

On whether there’s pressure on him to live up to expectation of P Square fame, Peter had this to say;

People think there’s probably pressure, but trust me there’s none. I’ve done a lot of rehearsal, I’ve done my research and all; I’m moving forward. At the moment, it’s the thing (moving forward) now for me.

I just came back from a U.S tour – fantastic tour – and I’m doing Europe in March, April and May (next year). I’m going to miss Nigeria but that’s why I’m trying to put out more materials before the tour so I can be able to promote them when I’m out there.

Deziani gate: Senators panic as EFCC set to detain Mark

Senators who served in the 7th Assembly  when Senator David Mark was the Senate President  are now living in fear over possible invitation and harassment by the anti-corruption agency, Economic and Financial Crime Commission  (EFCC)

This followed an allegation and planned detention of Mark by the EFCC on issues pertaining to  slush funds shared by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Deziani Alison-Madueke, for the failed reelection bid of former President Goodluck Jonathan and another N2 billion allegedly paid into the account of the National Assembly during his tenure as the Senate president.

Mark was accused of  being  the arrowhead in the sharing of over N500 million given to the Benue State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party for the 2015 election.

He was also said to have shared the N2 billion allegedly paid into the account of the Senate among the 109 senators, including himself, when he was the boss of the National Assembly.

Some of the present Senators who were also at the 7th Assembly include Senate President, Bukola Saraki, his Deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, Wife of former Lagos State governor, Oluremi Tinubu, Senator Ali Ndume among others.

The charge against Mark is that he shared the money among all Senators irrespective of party affiliations, a charge denied by Mark.. .

He was first quizzed on Friday but released to obtain documents from his home in Benue State for the continuation of his interrogation.

But Mark in a statement by his Media Assistant, Paul Mumeh, faulted the EFCC and insisted that he kept a clean record as a public officer.

The statement said: “Our attention has been drawn to media reports wherein it was reported that former President of the Senate David Mark was quizzed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged financial transactions.

“To set the record straight, Senator Mark was invited by the EFCC via a letter addressed to the National Assembly to answer questions on the 2015 presidential election campaign funds as it concerned Benue State.

“As a law abiding citizen, Sen. Mark honoured the invitation. “Curiously, they also alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) paid over N2 bilion into the National Assembly’s account which he, as the then President of the Senate, allegedly shared among the 109 Senators (including PDP, ACN, and ANPP) in 2010.

Again, to the best of his knowledge, Sen. Mark is not aware of such transaction. “This simply did not make sense to any right thinking member of the society. Sen. Mark wondered why anybody would think that PDP will pay money into National Assembly account. He, however, clarified all the issues raised before returning home.

“Sen. Mark believes in due process and rule of law. He has maintained a clean record of public service over the years and will continue to uphold the highest standard of conduct expected of public servants.

“Sen. Mark’s house has since become a pilgrimage of sort to politicians across party lines, friends and well-wishers identifying with him at this moment.

“He however appealed to his supporters, friends and associates to remain calm and see his current travails as a price he has to pay for leadership.

“For the avoidance of doubt, this is the first and only official statement from the office of Sen. Mark on this issue.”

Nigerian NewsDirect learnt that many opposition Senators and those who have axe to grind with the power that be are afraid that they may be harassed over the issue. :None of the Senators called by our Correspondent agreed to speak on the issue because of its seriousness but a Chieftain of PDP who craved anonymity said it’s a plot by the ruling APC to silence opposition.

“If the money is to prosecute election and ensure victory for PDP, why will the Senate President now give it to those in opposition? It’s absurd, laughable and very unreasonable “ he said.

“The ploy is not just against Mark but also Ekweremadu and other ranking Senators in the opposition “he added.

Efforts to get the reaction of the EFCC spokesman, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, was abortive because he was yet to respond to enquiry set to his mobile phone contact

[Photos] From Gboko to Atletico Madrid: The untold story of Ordega

From a ball girl in Benue State to a professional footballer at Atletico Madrid, the story of Super Falcons Francisca Ordega is truly a grass to grace classic.
To think of a perfect example of the saying that "dreams do come true, through hard work" and here is someone to behold, Francisca Ordega; a role model and inspiration to women who want to live their dream against all odds.
Raised in a village in Nigeria, Gboko, Benue State, Ordega stood for what she believed in and was sheer optimistic despite environmental and parental challenges. According to her "optimism is the faith that leads to achievement and Success is getting what you want...I always tell people I never dreamed of the success I worked for it," said the Super Falcon in her story.
Every glory has a backup story and that of
Ordega can be traced to her being among the people chose to supply balls for the Women's National team in a match hosted by the governor of her state, Benue. That single opportunity served as a stepping stone for the footballer who was inspired by the team's ability to soar in a 'field' conventionally believed by the society to be 'men's area of specialty.'
According to Ordega the big decision to become a professional footballer was taken on that field that very day. Fast forward a few years later and today 'That Gboko ball girl' now has her surname boldly written at the back of her jersey accompanied with the number '12' at Atletico Madrid.
Furthermore, into her story, Ordega narrated with clearer pictures how she was discouraged by her mother from playing football because momma Ordega wasn't a sports lover and insisted her beautiful daughter should acquire education in school. She presented the situation with a voice that exuded honesty and calm while giving credit to her father who is 'the right man for her' with his sheer supports and encouragements.
Ordega's hard work and dedication to the beautiful game earned her a place in the national team as she was called up for the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup (women's football tournament) in Trinidad and Tobago and that was when her mother started 'believing in her' she nodded continuously while explaining this part.
The Super Falcons forward lamented on the conventional challenge faced by the girl-child who are professional football aspirants which she had to face in her own home and among neighbours who tried to
advice her mother against her football dreams. At this point, it felt like she has gotten to the end of the tunnel where the light shone so bright as the Atletico Madrid player boasted of being able to change the perception of the people towards women in football, at least in her hometown of Gboko.
The same people that never supported her football dreams and career now queue up for her autographs like the line up in an ATM machine during the holiday period; you can only but imagine the length of the queue.
Francisca Ordega is a forward thinker just like her position in the beautiful game. The self-driven footballer shares in the school of thought that say, you can be and achieve anything in this world even without the support of your parents. A theory she has proved on her football journey so far!

That guy deserves a medal. How do you marry three women at once? How do you even convince them? It takes a special kind of skill that not many men have. I’d love to do something like that but I don’t think I can ever pull it off.

Don’t marry a guy who has these 10 habits

For a man to be marriage material, he has to be completely the right man for you. Sure, he will still have flaws (don’t we all?), but flaws are different from habits. Habits are things we’ve learned to do over the years; they’re ingrained in our behaviour and we do them automatically. Not only can they annoy you, but it’s also practically impossible to get a man to change his ways. If a guy has some of the following 10 habits? He isn’t marriage material.

He’s Full Of Excuses

He can’t just give you a straight answer for why he let you down, and instead resorts to his Big Book Of Boyfriend Excuses. Each time he makes an excuse, he’s displaying his immaturity to you. Moreover, there is a good chance he’s lying. Excuses are the resort of children – and you want to marry a man, not a child.

He’s Narrow Minded

Guys who are narrow minded really frustrate us, don’t they? We just wish they would be more open to doing something other than watching sports all weekend, and we wish they would stop making snap, judgemental comments about people. Some guys can seem to be the most open-minded people about certain topics, but become closed off when it comes to other topics. And it’s really annoying because it can contaminate your relationship. For example, imagine you want to hang out with a guy friend you haven’t seen for a while. You know what this guy is all about, and you know what his “intentions” are – to hang out and catch up! Meanwhile, your partner mistrusts him, tells you all guys just want sex from you and won’t let you see him. If your man is still stuck in the 19th century with his close-minded views, he’s hardly worth marrying.

He Shouts

Any guy who has a habit of exploding with anger is a no-go as far as Beauty and Tips is concerned. If you’ve met a man who shouts, screams and verbally abuses people, stay well away from him.

He Breaks Promises

If your man casually breaks promises with you all the time, it isn’t a good sign. What this should tell you is that this is a bad habit he’s picked up down the years and is unlikely to change anytime soon. Broken promises are frustrating. If he breaks a promise early on in the relationship, it’s not a huge deal. But if he keeps doing it, you need to take this as the huge red flag that it is. In simple English, he’s disrespecting you and the relationship, and taking you for a fool. It’s a sign that he doesn’t care enough about you (or anyone for that matter) and probably won’t be changing in the foreseeable future. After all, he doesn’t seem to see it as a problem. But as the movies teach us, those who break their promises suck (it’s usually dad’s breaking their promises to their kids, and yes, they suck. And can you imagine what would happen if you guys had kids and he broke his promises to them, too?!)

He Lies

Breaking a promise is one thing, but if he brazenly lies to your face and you know it’s a clear lie, it’s a major warning sign that this is a guy you can’t trust. Lying is a bad habit that’s easy to get into and hard to get out of. If you’ve caught your man lying red-handed on more than one occasion, you’ll need to consider the very real possibility that he isn’t worth marrying.

He Doesn’t Put You First

If a man doesn’t put you first, you have to ask yourself the question – when will he put me first? The answer is probably never. Guys who don’t prioritise their women are instead in the habit of prioritising their buddies, their work or their hobbies. Love comes last, and if it’s always been this way in your relationship, there is a good chance that it won’t change.

He’s Possessive

It’s okay for someone to be a tad possessive at first. It’s even kinda cute. But you two have been together a while and he’s still being extra clingy, it’s a habit he’s probably not going to break. In fact, it probably means he’s a control freak. And that kind of man isn’t worth walking down the altar with.

He Likes To Win Arguments

If he gets a smug sense of satisfaction whenever he wins an argument between you guys and literally hates the fact that even once he could be wrong, it’s a bad habit that you should take as a red flag. No one in a relationship should go into an argument wanting to win. Instead, the goal should be a resolution that suits both parties. If your partner always has to be right? He isn’t worth your time.

He Won’t Take Responsibility

When we refuse to acknowledge our mistakes and take for responsibility for something that was OUR fault, we’re behaving like children. Worse still, we’re passing the blame onto someone else. Even worse, we’re not giving ourselves the chance to learn from our mistakes. If this sounds a lot like your man, he isn’t marriage material at this point.

He Has An Unhealthy Lifestyle

If he drinks and smokes too much while you’re trying to lead a healthier life, it’s a strong sign that you guys aren’t meant to be. Sure, he could cut down on his drinking and quit smoking. But if he’s tried in the past to no avail, it might be best if you avoid this kind of guy.

[Photos] Annie And 2face’s Love Story – How They Met At Age 15, Their Break Up, Proposal, Babymama Drama And Marriage

Annie and 2face’s Love Story: Annie first met 2face Idibia at Even Ezra Music Studio when she was just fifteen and in her words, “I think there was some electricity that second”. They were friends first but had started dating officially by the time they shot the “African Queen” video in 2004. That was when 2Face announced that they were together during an interview.
According to Annie, “I remember my 16th birthday at Alpha Beach, with me and my friends. When we were going home, we all walked to the bus stop with him and his cousin. Plantashun Boiz had just recorded “Knock Me Off” at the time so he wasn’t a star yet.

So we got into the bus, he sat in front with his cousin so when we wanted to pay the conductor, he said, “no, he done pay already” I was feeling like a babe. “Hey! My boyfriend paid everybody’s bus fare.” And that time, bus was like N2.50k or N3 per person for about 14 people. But he told me recently that he didn’t eat that night because he paid for everyone.”

BREEAKUP

Soon Annie’s entertainment career became a lot more difficult as a result of being known as ’2Face’s girl’ and then they had their first breakup, came back, broke up again.
She was hurt when word got out that, in quick succession, 2Face had gotten two different women pregnant – Pero Adeniyi and Sumbo Ajala. At that point, the couple broke up.

When Pero and Sumbo yet again got pregnant for 2Face once again, that was when 2Face and Annie had their longest break-up which lasted almost a year and a half. But as they say, love will always find a way, they made up again and Annie gave birth to 2Face’s fifth child Isabel and then in 2012, Pero gave birth to his sixth child in the US.
Well, Pero couldn’t even prevent them from being together…

Proposal
In 2012, 2Face proposed to Annie on Valentine’s Day at Jay Jay Okocha’s Club 10 in Victoria Island, Lagos. And, they weren’t even dating then, although were still on talking terms after he had called her out of the blue a few weeks before, visited her at home and asked for her forgiveness and friendship.
According TO eye-witness reports, 2Face took Annie to a quiet section of the club, he knelt down and told her “I KNOW WE have had OUR ups and downs but it will be MY heart’s desire for YOU to marry ME” and then presented the dazzling ring and Annie began screaming “YES, YES, YES” after crying her eyes out!

Secret Union

Shortly after 2Face‘s concert when he brought out then-fiancee, Annie during his performance of“African Queen”, the two secretly legalized their union in a Lagos registry on Tuesday, May 1 2012.

They later went ahead with a traditional wedding on Friday 8th March 2013 in Akwa Ibom followed by big wedding parties before & after. The white wedding will be taking place in Dubai today Saturday 23 March 2013.
